About Horatio
I’m a piano, acoustic guitar, and synth player, songwriter, producer, and improviser.
My style ranges from jazz, folk, funk and pop to more experimental genres like ambient, avant-garde, improvised music. I have a bunch of released music and I’m active on Youtube as well – so there’s plenty inspiration to draw from.
About the lessons
My strong suit is creativity and improvisation, and practical music making, rather than hardcore technique and theory – but I love music theory and figuring out why stuff sounds and feels good, and I I can teach you to achieve an intuitive sense of rhythm and melody.
I know how it is to be frustrated when learning an instrument, and in my self-learning journey, I discovered that real learning happens when you have fun and a good motivation. Rather than just having a teacher force you to learn it, you should understand why, so that you are willing to learn it yourself. So that’s going to be my approach – we find out what you want to learn, and how to best get there, aided by my knowledge and experience, and you’ll hopefully get a lot of bang for your buck!
