About Lucie
French born British Mezzo Soprano Lucie Betty Cure obtained her Master of Music in Performance (Voice) in July 22 at the Royal College of Music (London) after graduating in 2020 at the CNSMDL National Conservatoire in France. Being on stage, interacting with the other singers and the instrumentalists while performing (singing and acting) a character is one of Lucie’s favorite tasks, and she also loves to teach how to do it!
Regarding her Career, Lucie made her operatic soloist debut in 2017 singing the main roles of Dorabella from Così fan Tutte by W. A. Mozart and Lazuli from L’Étoile by E.Chabrier. Since she sang on stage the full part roles of Flora in La Traviata by Verdi, Giustina in Il Flaminio by Pergolesi, Mère Marie in Les Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc, the 2nd Witch & 2nd Lady in Dido and Aeneas by Purcell, the 2nd Lady in The Magic Flute by W.A.Mozart and sang her first Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart in 2022. She also performed some Opera extracts of Concepciòn in l’Heure Espagnole and L’Enfant in L’Enfant et les Sortilèges by M. Ravel, Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti by Bernstein and Javotte from Manon by Massenet.
About the lessons
Lucie has been singing Opera Roles on stage and also performed as a singer/actress in Solastagia (Sort/Hvid, København in November 2021), she has also been performing and staging her own contemporary pieces (ambient / noise / opera). She can teach Singing Technique but also Acting, performing and staging. A lesson can be linked to all of these points, it depends of your needs and wishes ( examples of possibilities: Working on your own music, learning an opera part, singing and acting some arie, preparing for an audition or a concert of your wish, working with amplified voice / microphone / Ableton live…).
Lucie has been teaching singing since she was 20 years old and has a real passion for it. She likes to transmit her knowledge and interact with the student’s energy, wishes and will regarding singing and acting. The lessons are in English or French.
