About Lucie
Lucie Cure is a French-British mezzo-soprano, composer, performer, and vocal coach based in Copenhagen. Her teaching combines classical technique with creative exploration of various vocal styles, helping each student discover their unique voice, whether they wish to sing opera, pop, experimental music, jazz, or explore by playing with various styles.
Lucie’s artistic work bridges classical singing and contemporary performance. She often collaborates across music, art, and theatre, performing her own hybrid opera compositions in venues such as Les Beaux-Arts de Paris, Soho House Copenhagen, Riverside studios London, Distortion, Chart Art fair, Danish architecture center, Metropolis Performing Landscapes and more.
As a trained opera singer, she holds a Master of Music in Performance from the Royal College of Music in London and has performed widely across Europe in both classical and experimental contexts. Lucie has sung roles by Mozart, Verdi, Poulenc, Bizet, Ravel, Offenbach, Chabrier, Pergolesi, Purcell and more and has sung in choirs as an alto with Le Jeune Chœur de Paris and le Chœur de la Sorbonne. She also collaborates on innovative immersive vocal creations that often invite the audience to join in song.
In her teaching, Lucie focuses on healthy vocal technique, musicality, emotional connection, and creative self-expression. Students can expect a supportive atmosphere where voice, body, and imagination work together, exploring repertoire from classical to experimental, and learning to use the voice as a tool for confidence, communication, and artistry.
About the lessons
Have you always wanted to explore your voice? In our lessons, we’ll create a safe and inspiring space to discover your unique sound as a resonant journey where singing becomes both playful and profound. You’re welcome to choose the vocal style that speaks to you (classical, jazz, pop, experimental, your own compositions, anything you love!) and decide which songs, arias, or melodies you’d like to work on. I can also suggest repertoire and guide you toward pieces that fit your voice and interests.
Together, we’ll work on :
If you perform with a band or ensemble, I also offer vocal coaching for rehearsals. Collective lessons are possible too, just gather a few friends, and we can explore the voice together as a group.
Whether your goal is to connect with your inner voice, prepare for an audition or performance, or use singing as a form of healing, self-discovery and expression, I’ll adapt each session to your needs.
We can also include music reading and basic music theory if you wish to strengthen those skills.
Before our first meeting, please choose a song you’d like to sing, we’ll use it as our starting point for exploring your voice.
