About Mauro
I am Mauro, musician and music teacher from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Living in Copenhagen from 8 months and loving this city. The piano and me are in love since I was 5 or 6 years old. I started studying keyboard at that age and playing in the school orchestra. Then I was formed in a classical conservatory where I learned a lot about music theory and harmony. I studied with lots of professors particularly and started giving classes at 21 years old. When I was 28 I started teaching online and developing a Youtube Channel which today has more than 45,000 subscribers. I love to play rock, pop, funk, soul and gospel, and I like to share music knowledge with other people who have this passion.
About the lessons
I teach piano and keyboards, and I teach music theory and harmony. Its important to know what the student likes and wants to develop. I help this happen, giving tools to reach their own ways to learn. This applies for instruments and for music theory.
The first lesson
We meet each other and talk about what the student wants to work with. My typical questions are: What kind of music do you like? Do you have an instrument? Have you played with other people? Can you play something for me?
