About the teacher
My name is Aleksandra and I am a passionate cellist and teacher. I play solo, in various ensembles as well as in the orchestra.
I come from Poland, where I finished 15 years of music education, including a Bachelor degree combined with a pedagogical module. Currently I am a student in the soloist postgraduate class at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus (Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium). In 2025 I graduated from the Masters programme in cello pedagogy at DJM. With understanding of basic psychology, knowledge about children’s development, and strong technique I can provide students various perspectives and adapt my approach accordingly to their age and needs. I also have extensive experience with adult students, both beginners and intermediate.
Deeply curious about the Danish approach to music education, I have completed a main instrument pedagogy course, where I got to know the Suzuki method and general principles of Danish education.
I am a very positive and energetic person who loves to build connections and develop relationships with others and it can all be seen during my lessons.
About the lessons
Thanks to my background, I can present a method that combines exact instructions and focus on building a strong foundation for playing with freedom of expression and musical choices of the student. I focus on keeping and strengthening good technical habits that allow the student to enjoy the music. On top of it come elements of the Suzuki method, which is based on natural learning style (repetition and immersion), that are the same as how the acquisition of the mother tongue works.
Even though I am a classically trained musician, I enjoy working with other styles of music, including film music and pop arrangements. I can therefore better understand student’s needs and adapt the material accordingly.
