About the teacher
Hi 🙂 Ben here, I teach the piano, trumpet, trombone, & all other brass instruments: trumpet, trombone, french horn, tuba, euphonium.
I’m originally from the UK where I studied a bachelor degree in performance at the Royal Academy Of Music in London and studied for a masters here in Copenhagen at RMC conservatoire in performance. I also studied a teaching qualification at the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM). I’ve been teaching for 15 years all ages and abilities, in schools and privately, in large groups and one on one lessons.
About the teaching
These lessons are perfect for beginners and for those who want to add a little joy to their music playing. If it sounds good, do it again!
I teach in a friendly way where we decide together what kind of styles and teaching methods will work best and come up with some light goals on what kind of music we want to take forward. Together, we can look at popular playing styles, jazz or classical – up to you!
During the lessons we will work on sound, rhythm, pitch, chords, playing and improvisation. If it sounds good and feels fun, that is all you need to continue. We will also look at technique on the instrument, some light music reading and songs in all genres.
