
About the teacher
A musician of a “warm and gratifying tone” (quote: American Record Guide), Lithuanian violinist Justina Auškelytė Rossi is undoubtedly one of the most interesting artists of her home country.
The 2nd prize winner of the Third International Jascha Heifetz Competition and a recipient of several awards from Presidents of Lithuania for her musical contributions to her country, Justina has performed at prestigious concert venues, such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Wiener Musikverein, among others, frequently appears as a soloist with orchestras and has recorded for major classical music label Naxos Records.
Graduate of the The Juilliard School in New York and prize winner of more than a dozen competitions, Justina has mastered her playing technique with renowned violinists and professors, such as Boris Kuschnir, Pavel Berman, Silvia Marcovici, Sergey Krylov, Peter Oundjian, to name a few.
Justina performs on a 1770 Giovanni Antonio Marchi violin and mainly uses a Nicolas Maline bow, both kindly loaned to her by “Dalia and Remigijus Lapinskas Family Foundation”.
About the lessons
During our lessons we will focus on building up confidence and unlocking the full potential of your violin playing. We will be working on small details that can make a huge difference in overall playing.
